What it actually does

We measured −153 dB of distortion on our bench at 48 kHz. Across the full 36-case matrix (3 sample rates × 4 tones × 3 levels) the worst case is −124 dB. An automatic guard fails the build if it ever gets worse than that.

The clip guard holds under attack: pushing the manual helm +18 dB straight at the ceiling, output stays at −0.85 dBTP with the ceiling set to −1.0.

Loudness is detected with the K-weighted ITU-R BS.1770-4 filter — the same one official loudness meters use. Most classic riders use peak or RMS detection without that weighting.

12 platform presets verified exact: Spotify −14, Apple Music −16, EBU R128 −23, cinema −27, and more — each with its own LUFS target, true-peak ceiling and boost policy.

It moves ONE full-band gain — never an EQ — with asymmetric ballistics and a silence gate, so it never chases noise.

A ±18 dB helm sits on top of the autopilot: your hand adds to the riding instead of fighting it, and it automates from the DAW.

Gain Match A/Bs against bypass at equal loudness, so louder never tricks you into 'better'.

Nothing on screen moves without a real measurement behind it: the captain only appears when the autopilot is on, and the sea gets rough because the signal really is unstable.
