How licensing works

The player above

That's a self-serve BeatStars store: pick a beat, pick a license, pay, and the files land in your account instantly — the whole checkout happens on BeatStars, not on this page. Each beat lists what its license tiers include (rights, usage limits, file formats); read that before buying, since it varies beat to beat.

Lease vs. exclusive

Buying through the player is a non-exclusive lease: the beat can be licensed to other artists too, at a lower price than taking it off the market entirely. Want it pulled from sale and the rights transferred just to you, or a beat built from scratch for your project? That's not a checkout button — message me directly.

After you buy

Delivery is instant and digital, straight from BeatStars: the files for the license tier you picked, plus a license certificate stating what you're allowed to do with the beat. Nothing further happens on my side unless you've messaged me about a custom or exclusive deal — for account or payment issues, BeatStars' own support handles it, since the checkout runs on their platform.

Which one do I want?

A lease from the player is right if the beat is already close to what you need. Message me for a custom beat if you have a specific reference in mind that doesn't exist yet in the store. And if what you actually want is someone producing the whole track with you — not just the instrumental — that's the collaborations path, not the beat store.

The split isn't part of the beat license

A beat license covers the instrumental — nothing about it decides who owns what in the song you build on top of it. If you're writing topline or lyrics with other people over this beat, that composition split is a separate agreement between you and them, and it's worth signing before anyone leaves the session, while the percentages are still obvious. There's a free split sheet generator for exactly that.
