VST3 support matrix - Windows x64

Documented workflow; it does not imply physical certification in every DAW.

Ableton Live

Preferences > Plug-Ins > enable the VST3 system folder. Use a custom VST3 folder only when the installer genuinely used one.

Options > File settings > Manage plugins > Find installed plugins + Verify plugins. After an update, rescan previously verified plug-ins when needed.

Studio One scans the VST3 system folder by default. If missing, inspect View > Plug-in Manager and reset the blocklist only when appropriate.

Use the standard VST3 location and inspect Studio > VST Plug-in Manager when a plug-in is missing. Recent VST2 policy is separate from VST3.

Preferences > Plug-ins > VST. Confirm the path, then Re-scan. REAPER can also scan additional paths you explicitly add.

Dashboard > Settings > Locations

Dashboard > Settings > Locations > Plug-in Locations. The browser can prefer VST3 over VST2 when both formats are present.
