Track Tales: The Heart Behind the Songs

During the song, dark and mysterious scenes unfold behind a door, with someone standing just outside. Shadows play within, and unsettling events seem to stir. As the music reaches its climax returning to the the beginning, afraid of the one who stands outside the door, waiting in a state of darkness, ready to be led toward the light he seeks. Standing there, it appears to be a mysterious invitation to step forward, to follow the path he has chosen. When the series of knocks finally breaks the silence, it signals that the way might be open, marking the beginning of his journey. Should he make it through the shadows to reach the light, he may reflect it, casting light coming from the West Side to the East Side and reflecting all who witness his path. In darkness, light can appear as phantoms, light must be reflected and must never be absorbed, so is we must protect and nurture the spirit of those who seek, honoring their courage, and to keep our own inner light strong. The Jujuy Film Commission gave me a fascinating challenge: create a soundtrack with the video post-production team, showcasing Jujuy's varied landscapes to international film directors. This orchestral piece was synchronized perfectly with the visuals to deepen the emotional impact of each scene. I chose the name 'VICUÑA' for its elegance and uniqueness, reflecting the rare beauty of the region. This title adds an exotic touch, enhancing the allure of the piece.

Creating 'VICUÑA' was exhilarating. It involved composing and blending cinematic orchestral music with the bpm I created for the visuals team, to amplify the narrative impact of the film. My aim was to transform Jujuy’s stunning vistas into a musical expression that captures filmmakers' imaginations and mesmerizes audiences. With each note, I sought to mirror the grandeur of Jujuy’s landscapes, inspiring creators to explore and tell their own stories through this vivid auditory and visual journey.

The cinematic potential of Jujuy has captivated renowned filmmakers. Oscar-winning director Juan José Campanella chose its mesmerizing landscapes for Amazon Prime’s series 'Lightyears,' drawn by the region’s stunning vistas and supported by the Jujuy Film Commission, for which he was grateful.
